CONCEPT
레드벨벳의 다음 앨범 컨셉을 ‘THE WITCH FORTUNE TELLER MACHINE’ 으로 설정하여 기획 및 디자인했습니다. 어떻게 흘러갈지 몰라 불안한 삶이지만 레드벨벳의 음악을 통해 평온을 되찾을 수 있다라는 의미를 담아 ‘점술 기계’와 ‘타로카드’를 결합하여 디자인했습니다.

I planned and designed Red Velvet’s next album concept as THE WITCH FORTUNE TELLER MACHINE. It is an uneasy life because I don’t know how it will go, but it was designed by combining “Fortune-Telling Machine” and “Tarot card” with the meaning that I can regain peace through Red Velvet’s music.
TiTLE LOGO
‘마녀’라는 컨셉을 나타내기 위해서 마녀의 모자 끝부분을 그래픽화시켜 타이틀 로고에 적용하여 디자인했습니다. 또한 ‘레드벨벳의 음악을 통해 되찾은 평온’이라는 의미를 표현하기 위해 모든 타이포를 서로에게 기댄 형태로 디자인했습니다.

In order to represent the concept of “Witch”, the end of the witch’s hat was graphitized and applied to the title logo. In addition, all typos were designed in a form that leaned against each other to express the meaning of “the tranquility regained through Red Velvet’s music.”
TEAM LOGO
레드벨벳의 ‘R’과 ‘V’를 가져와 디자인한 것으로, 두 문자를 연결하여 레드벨벳과 ‘YOU(U)’는 언제나 연결되어 있음을 나타냈습니다.
It is designed with Red Velvet’s “R” and “V” and shows that Red Velvet and “YOU(U)” are always connected by connecting two letters.
FORTUNE TELLER MACHINE을 그래픽으로 표현했으며, 타로카드의 느낌을 내기 위해서 질감이 느껴지는 핸드 드로잉 그래픽으로 디자인했습니다.

Color system
바이올렛, 핑크, 민트 컬러를 사용하여 전체적으로 신비한 느낌을 담고자 하였고, 멤버별 상징 컬러를 패키징 곳곳에 삽입하여 레드벨벳의 정체성을 표현했습니다.
Violet, pink, and mint colors were used to capture a mysterious feeling overall, and each member’s symbolic colors were inserted throughout the package to express Red Velvet’s identity.
‘THE WITCH FORTUNE TELLER MACHINE’의 앨범 패키지입니다. 앨범의 컨셉에 맞춰 전체적인 패키지를 타로카드 형태로 디자인했습니다.
This is the album package for THE WITCH FORTUNE TELLER MACHINE. I designed the overall package in tarot card format according to the concept of the album.
